Gorman Jones Roberts led a life deeply rooted in integrity and service.
After growing up in the small town of Williamsburg, KY, he went on to play for the New York Yankees and serve in the US Navy during World War II. His academic achievements at Northwestern University and Harvard Business School underscored his resilience and lifelong search for knowledge that led to an extensive career in banking and investments.
He was a father, grandfather and great grandfather in our family. Rush has been married to his daughter, Joan, for 42 years.
Gorman Jones died in 2021 at the age of 97. He was selfless, relentlessly positive and never said a negative word about anyone. His devotion to his family, his country and his faith have shaped us and continue to guide us today.
We named our company after him to honor his legacy, and to recognize that in our business — like yours — legacy matters.
